Fortunate am I, to have a day job which challenges me to practice and hone my passion. To fabricate more intricate and polished work in a vast array of materials and processes, is the daily mantra. I work for Florida State University, Master Craftsman Studio in the company of 6 other studio artists. We create signs, benches, stained glass, awards, fountains, and bronze statuary for the University, we fabricate public works from metal, concrete, and glass, we craft custom works for private clients, we refurbish sculpture furniture and glass. We use advanced machining techniques (3D printing, water-jet cutting, CNC routers/mills etc.) to create state of the art custom works.
Below are some of the examples of this work dating back to 2008 when I began working with the studio. These works have shaped my understanding of what is possible to create through research and proper technique. These are ALL projects that I have worked on and/or overseen.
